Roy Buduan has been drafting on Kauai for over 30 years. He is familiar with the building codes required for your permits. Most of the contractors on the island are familiar with his work.When you come to see Roy, you should have a general idea of what you want. After one or more meetings with Roy, he will have enough information to begin transforming your ideas into actual plans.
Your plans will begin with a Sketch. The sketch is a basic floor plan. You will be given the sketch to check over. You should check it carefully and mark any changes you want. Roy will make the changes and give you a 2nd sketch. This 2nd sketch is for your approval to go to the final drawing. If you make more changes to the 2nd sketch, depending on the degree of the changes, there may be an additional sketch fee charge.
Once we have an approved sketch, Roy will prepare your final set of plans. Your bill will also include 2 sets of blueprints. Roy can also prepare your building permits applications.
Fee Schedule
Sketch Fee $200.00Non-Refundable once the sketch is completed.
Final Plans $500.00
Price per sheet. Less than full sheets will be prorated.
Blueprint Copies $4.00
Price per sheet. First two sets are at no charge. Blueprint copies for non-customers are $5.00 per sheet.
Location Appointments
This is charged when we have to leave our office and meet you at your location. Rates are based on location.
Kalaheo to Waimea: $50.00
Kekaha: $55.00
Beyond Kekaha: $70.00
Lawai, Koloa: $55.00
Poipu, Puhi, Lihue, Hanamaulu: $60.00
Wailua, Kapaa: $65.00
Anahola, Kilauea: $70.00
Princeville, Hanalei: $80.00
Beyond Hanalei: $90.00
Measure Fees
A fee of $100 will be charged in addition to any Location Fee if a jobsite measure is required. For example, to do a measure at a jobsite in Lawai, there would be a $160 charge. That is $60 for the location charge and $100 for the measure.
